Explore Program → Skill TrainingGroup training, small group sessions, and personal training designed to build confident, skilled players — not just practicing on cones.
Explore Program →Elite AAU travel basketball program. Practices & workouts in the Humble, Atascocita & North Shore area. Year-round competition, structured development, and a culture built on discipline, respect, and belief in every player.
Chris Stern built Mean Green Select on a simple truth: players get better in practice, not the game. The game is for executing what's already been mastered. We blend competitive tournament play with consistent structured workouts — because pressure creates excellence only when preparation is already in place.
High-level AAU tournaments across the Humble & Atascocita area all year. Spring and Summer feature 2 per month. Fall and Winter alternate between 1 and 2 monthly.
Two structured team practices every week. Players learn systems, chemistry, and how to execute under pressure — the kind of prep that shows up when it counts.
We develop kids as people first. Discipline, respect, accountability, and self-belief are core pillars — not afterthoughts. On and off the court.
"Coach has transformed my son — not just as a player, but as a young man. The discipline this program instills is something we see every day at home."
"I used to be scared to make mistakes. Coach helped me believe in myself. Now I go hard every game because I know I've put in the work."
"The level of structure and commitment here is unmatched. Coach genuinely cares. My daughter has grown so much in just one season."
Mean Green Select operates across four seasons. Tryouts are held throughout the year — but if a team roster is full, no players will be added until the next cycle. Mid-season tryout requests must be made by contacting us directly.
⚠️ Mid-Season Tryouts: Players wishing to try out during an active season must contact us directly. If the roster is full, we will not be adding players until the next tryout cycle. Spots are limited.
Players are prepared through repetition, not exposed to the game unprepared. Execution under pressure is earned in practice — that's our standard.
The game is for executing what you've already mastered. We build it in the gym first — always.
Chris Stern and our staff lead by example — never verbal abuse. We lift, we don't tear down.
We shape character as much as skill. Discipline and self-belief carry players beyond basketball.
Players handle pressure because they've been prepared for it — that's the edge we create every session.

Competitive, environment-first training for athletes grades 3–8. We build real players — confident handlers, multi-level scorers, basketball thinkers — not cone-drillers.
Four programs designed to develop complete athletes. Pick the format that fits your player's goals and schedule.
High-energy group sessions for grades 1–8 in a competitive team environment. Age-specific time slots ensure every player trains at the right level.
For players who already know how to play — this is NOT a learn-the-basics program. Small groups focused on elevating players who already have a foundation and are ready to compete at a higher level.
One-on-one training tailored entirely to the individual athlete. Limited availability, booked by appointment only. Court rental included in rate.
Cones don't make players better. Competitive environments do. Every drill has opposition. Every rep has stakes.
Players develop by being challenged against real resistance — not moving through cones in isolation.
Dribble, drive, create — with authority in any situation. Ball confidence is foundational to everything.
At the rim, mid-range, and from three — we teach complete offensive development based on position.
IQ, spacing, decision-making — we train players who understand the game, not just athletes who can move.
